Drug Rumour, Stella Damasus Backs Weird MC

Nigeria’s rap artiste, Shola Idowu, popularly known as Weird MC, has debunked rumours making the rounds that she was on drugs and as such gives her energy while on stage. According to Weird MC, she claimed that probably someone is seeing her as a threat or might be jealous of her which has now helped her to be more careful. She added that as an entertainer, you have to be energetic while on stage because you have a larger crowd and they will want to see the kind of stuff you are made of outside the studio sounds. “When people start coming at you, then there is a reason, and that is why I have to check it. You must be an energetic performer because what you do in the studios is different from what you do on stage. So, if you can’t appreciate someone’s natural gift, common don’t tear it down in the name of competition, that is not right,” she said. She pointed out that It wouldn't have been an issue if she was a male artiste, because people wouldn't expect a lady to display so much energy. “But it’s not a problem, my fans know this is the brand, it’s an exclusive brand. If they come to see Weird MC perform, that is what they like but if you don’t get at them, they tend to wonder what went wrong, and they could ask why isn't on point.” Here is what she wrote on her instagram page, along with stella Damasus's response; “Any Human being who wakes up in the morning to hate on another humanbeing can never grow.If you get bitter because of another human being's Success there's something missing in your soul.
