"Piers Morgan Live" is coming to an end. CNN has officially announced that it canceled the primetime show hosted by the former "America's Got Talent" judge. "CNN confirms that Piers Morgan Live is ending," said Allison Gollust, head of CNN communications, on Sunday, February 23. "The date of the final program is still to be determined."

Piers Morgan first broke the news to New York Times columnist David Carr, saying that his show would probably end in March. The British journalist admitted that his show had difficulty to connect with American audience. "It's been a painful period and lately we have taken a bath in the ratings," he said.

"Look, I am a British guy debating American cultural issues, including guns, which has been very polarizing, and there is no doubt that there are many in the audience who are tired of me banging on about it," he explained. "That's run its course and (CNN President ) Jeff (Zucker) and I have been talking for some time about different ways of using me."

Morgan has hosted the talk show since 2010, replacing Larry King in the network's coveted 9 P.M. slot. CNN Worldwide President Jeff Zucker has been determined to solve the network's ailing primetime line-up and pushing Morgan from the 9 P.M. slot is reportedly part of his plan to fix the issue.
This is really sad because he is telling the Americans the the truth they want to boot him out
