Griffith says that she and Johnson's father Don Johnson won't see the
highly-anticipated movie because their actress daughter tells them they 'cannot
come.'
Don't expect to see Melanie Griffith at cinemas when the
highly-anticipated "Fifty Shades of Grey"
opens in the U.S. early next year. The actress recently revealed that daughter Dakota Johnson, understandably, didn't allow her to
watch the movie based on E.L. James' erotic novel.
"I have not seen '50 Shades of Grey'. I don't think I'm going to see it... [Dakota] was like, 'You guys cannot come. There's no way.' So we're not going," Griffith told IndieWire, indicating that her ex-husband/Johnson's father Don Johnson had been banned from watching the racy film as well.
While Griffith has said she won't be seeing the film, it doesn't mean she doesn't know how the infamous Red Room of Pain looks like. She said, "I did go visit for a couple of days when they were shooting just normal stuff. I did see the Room of Pain - I did go in there and check it out."
"Fifty Shades of Grey" is set to hit U.S. theaters on February 14, 2015. Johnson plays Anastasia Steele alongside Jamie Dornan who portrays the S&M-mad Christian Grey.
